• • • • • TODAY’S SPOTLIGHT • • • • • •
- Salem numbers continue to be stable, with only four new cases since June 6.
- Since the State is reporting infected people as recovered after 10 days, Salem can expect to see a big decrease in active cases very soon … presuming the number of cases continues to remain stable.
- We had 40 new cases today. We haven’t seen a day with that many new cases since June 17. It’s not high enough to cause alarm, but it’s worth noting that the daily average for the week preceding this was 23 cases per day.
- New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, and Rhode Island are classified as “controlled disease growth,”along with 20 other states. According to this story, only 4, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, are considered to be on track to contain COVID-19.
- 10 more NH residents lost their lives because of complications from COVID today. Eight of these were associated with long-term care facilities.
- New cases internationally are the highest since May 26, when I first started recording that data. I notice that the total number of infections across the world have spiked every Thursday for the last three weeks.
- Is NASCAR important to you? The Speedway is reopening!
- The State will be accepting applications for the newly created Self Employment Livelihood Fund, from July 6 to July 17.

Albert Einstein said, “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.” We still have a lot to learn about this virus, so please, stay safe, and always, be kind.
