NH Hot Spots (As of Friday, June 5. Changes from last Friday, June 5.) (Reports from previous weeks are beneath this update)
NH has 17 municipalities that have had more than 50 confirmed cases of COVID-19; only five have had more than 200 cases.
- Manchester, NH’s biggest city, continues to still have the most cases, and as well as the highest ratio of confirmed cases, with one out of every 81 people being diagnosed. (88 last week). Last week, Derry was second, but that dubious honor now goes to Bedford, which has 1:92. (They were 1:105 last week). Derry is now third, with 1:103; they were 1:105.) Goffstown has surged up to the fourth spot, with 1:108 people; they were 1:127 last week. Goffstown huge increase pushed Salem down to fifth place with 1:110; previously 1 out of every 112 people in Salem have had confirmed cases of COVID-19.
- Nashua still has the second-most cases in the state, but seven other communities have more cases per capita than our second-largest city. In Nashua, “only” 1 out of 166 people have had confirmed cases.
- Only five communities currently have more than 50 active cases: Manchester, Bedford, Goffstown, Salem, and Nashua. Derry dropped off this list this week.

If more people were tested, the numbers would be higher.
Without better testing and reporting, we can’t know what our real numbers are.
