The following email was sent to me, and a fairly small number of other people. I think it deserves to be seen, so I’m sharing it here.

Dear Fellow American:
The Salem NH Never Forget Committee through the Ernest W. Young American Legion Post 63 needs your financial help. The committee has obtained a piece of steel from the Twin Towers and will be erecting a Memorial to be located at the Town Common. The dedication is slated for September 11, 2019.
The Town of Salem has generously provided us a location at the Town Common and the project has been approved and supported by the Salem Historical Society.
The monument will be crafted from granite quarried in New Hampshire and crafted by a New Hampshire Artisan. The monument will measure 110 inches tall representing the 110 floors of World Trade Center, the State of Pennsylvania representing those lost on Flight 93 and will rest on a 10-foot Pentagon base. The material inside the pentagon will be in remembrance of the post tower collapse. Two firefighter hands hold the steel beam.
The memorial is a tribute of remembrance and honor to the 2,977 people killed in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center site, near Shanksville, PA and at the Pentagon. This is a powerful reminder of the largest loss of life resulting from a foreign attack on American soil and the greatest single loss of rescue personnel in American history.
