Skydiving!

A friend is skydiving today*. That reminded me of the day I stepped out of a perfectly good plane, 13* years ago. When I looked back at my photos, I realized that it was 13* years ago … today!

Now I’m taking a different kind of step. Running for NH House is almost as scary, and almost exciting, although in a much different way.

I went skydiving so I could say I did it. I took the plunge then for the fun of it, and, by the look on my face, you can see it WAS fun and exciting!

It is also exciting to run for NH House although I’m not running to be able to say I did it. Frankly, I’m not in it for the glory or recognition — I actually am happiest staying OUT of the limelight. I am running because I believe I can bring some fresh ideas from Salem to Concord. I believe I can help make our great state even better.

My friend Jane said, “If not you, who? if not now, when?” Sometimes we ALL need to step outside of your comfort zone. And sometimes, you have to readjust that comfort zone. Over the last 4.5 years, my comfort zone has changed so much, I don’t even know where it is anymore! And that’s a good thing!

Are you willing to take this plunge with me? I’m hoping that I can win one of the nine seats in Salem. I believe I can do it, but I need some help.

I have a lot of people to reach!  This is a huge district — one of the largest in the state. It is the third-largest, at-large legislative district in the country. It’s equal to 1/2 of a Senate District — but instead of two candidates on the General Election ballot, after thinning out a few in the primary, we have 18 candidates running for nine seats.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Host a virtual party to introduce us to your friends, neighbors, co-workers. (I can set it up, you just need to invite your Salem friends!)
  • Make phone calls to my list or yours.
  • Volunteer to hold signs at the polls in November
  • Write letters to the editor
  • Contribute to my campaign.
  • And, get out and vote from the bottom up!

If you can contribute to my campaign, it would be very helpful. There are two ways you can do it:
1. ActBlue: https://secure.actblue.com/contribute/page/bonnie4salem
2. Mail a check to:

Bonnie Wright for NH State House
34 Liberty St
Salem NH 03079

Thank you for your consideration.

He told me we were simply going to take one nice giant step.

We did … and then we did a somersault!

I was ready for that step … and I am ready for this next step in my life!
Please help as I go way outside of my comfort zone again!
